Saturday Sep. 28th, Ulike hosted French chef, Antoine to join our event, and share his experience in doing business in China. Starting his own business as a foreigner is obviously not an easy task, so it is really inspiring that he has already opened four restaurants in Beijing.
Thus, a lot of hot questions were discussed during the sharing. The most popular ones were the followings: “Why have you chosen China? Why have you decided to open a restaurant not to start another business? How to start a business? How to promote and grow existing business?”
In response, Antoine shared his story about why he and his wife had decided to move back to China, the funny anecdote of why he has decided to have his own restaurant, also, what is so special about that restaurant.
Our members who are interested in business and entrepreneurship voiced their questions, shared ideas and experience. Exchange of ideas in catering, business and economy has flown so creatively and innovatively, that the Q and A session turned into brainstorming.
It is always fun and interesting to meet old and new friends. Every new friend is a world to discover. For instance, Antoine is not as serious or mysterious as we have thought, during two-hour of talking and sharing, we heard some funny stories about his family, hilarious interaction of different cultures and mix of different cuisines. Antoine has shared many good ideas connected to both business and cuisine. All in all, we had a great time talking, practicing English skills, discussing business and yummy food.
